Facebook has data-sharing partnerships with at least four Chinese electronics companies, including a manufacturing giant that has a close relationship with China's government, the social media company said on Tuesday.

The agreements, which date to at least 2010, gave private access to some user data to Huawei, a telecommunications equipment company that has been flagged by American intelligence officials as a national security threat, as well as to Lenovo, Oppo and TCL.

The four partnerships remain in effect, but Facebook officials said in an interview that the company would wind down the Huawei deal by the end of the week.

Facebook gave access to the Chinese device makers along with other manufacturers — including Amazon, Apple, BlackBerry and Samsung — whose agreements were disclosed by The New York Times on Sunday.

The agreements, which date to at least 2010....

The Obama years created a culture of selling out America.

Let's rev things up by asking Mark Zuckerberg how many profiles of US Senators, House Members, Judges, and military personnel were sold to the Chinese?

Did Ron Rockwell Hansen have a facebook account and was his profile shared with the Chinese?

Does Mark Zuckerberg think that selling information about US citizens to the Chinese would make us more vulnerable to blackmail and a source for recruiting spies?

Does the monitoring of "fake news" take into account concerns and/or agreements with foreign individuals, companies or governments?

We need to personalize the crisis in order to get any traction.

Listened to Kim Kamando today. She discussed how 23 and Me and Ancesttory.com are bad news as far as possible data collection. Buyer beware.

Read an article about this a few years ago on IBD. They made it sound going anonymous to send in you data was a short time full time job. (Involved a P.O. box!) Buyer beware.

Scary world.

That flushing sound you hear is the millions FB spent on airtiime on their worthless commercials where they manage to admit zero responsibility for their behavior.

Let us not forget that the OPM data breach that the Chinese used to get personal information on millions of people with security clearances also happened under Obama's watch.

Facebook disabled one million faked accounts----means Facebook misrepresented itself to advertisers. Misrepresenting the number of accounts meant Facebook could charge more for ads. This is a criminal offense.

REFERENCE A couple of newspapermen were jailed b/c they cooked the books WRT readership —— to charge more for ads.

CONTACT enforcement @SEC.gov

Facebook deleting a billion accounts is solid evidence of wrongdoing.

The SEC should be advised that FACEBOOK apparently mislead investors.

CONTACT enforcement @SEC.gov

The SEC prosecutes publicly traded companies who falsify annual reports.

Facebook investors should take the annual reports to their lawyers ASAP.
