The Department of Justice and the FBI are deliberately attempting to slow roll and redact significant portions of DOJ Inspector General, Michael Horowitz’s report on the bureau’s handling of the Hillary Clinton investigation, according to numerous congressional officials and investigators.

The 400-page report, which was completed several weeks ago and addresses Clinton’s use of her private server for government business, is currently being reviewed by the DOJ and FBI. According to sources, individuals mentioned in the reports are also allowed to review the document. It is expected to be “long and thorough” and will criticize the handling of the investigation by former FBI Director James Comey, who has spent the better part of the past several months promoting his book A Higher Loyalty.

There have been no leaks, so we can be certain there is no bad news from Trump in it.

Why doesnt this document get leaked.

If Trump was the subject of it, it would be all over the press.

“Everyone who works in DC and who is paid with taxpayer money is working for us.”

That statement would make all the employees in the FBI, DOJ, CIA and all the members and staff of U.S. Senate and most in House double over with hysterical laughter.

Yes, and that is the core of our problem. Lois Lerner epitomizes this attitude, but is obviously just one of the many within ‘the ranks’. We should consider removing the eagle from ‘The Great Seal of the United States’, and change it to a giant middle finger.

Doesn’t seem like much of an IG report when the targets get to edit the report.

That's Jeff Sessions' DOJ.

Fantasywriter...Have you even read the Fast & Furious report? It is only 511 pages. The key paragraph on Eric Holder is on page 465 which states in part:

We determined that Attorney General Holder did not learn about Operation Fast and Furious until late January or early February 2011 and was not aware of allegations of "gun walking" in the investigation until February. We found no evidence that Department or ATF staff informed the Attorney General about Operation Wide Receiver or Operation Fast and Furious prior to 2011. We concluded that the Attorney General's Deputy Chief of Staff, the Acting Deputy Attorney General, and the leadership of the Criminal Division failed to alert the Attorney General to significant information about or flaws in those investigations...."

So, what is important about the dates? That is what Holder testified to Congress under oath.

So, why couldn't the IG determine exactly when Holder was aware and who actually approved Fast and Furious? Because Holder was the AG at the time and he controlled what information the IG got. Also, Obama claimed executive privilege on some documents. I can assure the documents that were claimed as "executive privilege" were not provided to the IG.

The difference now is that Holder is not the AG and neither is Lynch.

Personally, I don't think this report "clears" Eric Holder. I am still disgusted that no one was held accountable and there were no criminal referrals, given that 2 ICE agents were killed.

My hope is that AG Sessions is supervising this IG investigation and not Rosenstein...and that Sessions has ensured that the IG has access to all relevant information. We won't know until the report is published.

Fortunately, there is enough information in the public domain that we will be able to judge if the report is a white wash.

I have stated on other threads that if this report is a white wash, then this country is doomed.

“I’m surprised the IG hasn’t been threatened with Arkancide yet.”

And how do you know for certain that that hasn’t happened already?

Someone like Trump or Sessions needs to tell folks it will be released in a week and if people need to work 24/7 to review it in that time frame........so be it.

***It’ll come out as a 5 page report***

LOL! Why doesn't Trump step in and put a stop to all this?! Go with Nunes, whoever from Congress, march into the DoJ and demand they hand over the FISA court docs, the initial counter-intel memos, all the docs, even the toilet paper if need be?

This whole thing is acquiring a rotten odor, and they can all take their games and shove them up their old Pennsylvania Avenues for my money!

I am fed up with all of it!

It needs to be assumed that the first two copies went to Comey and McCabe to reviews and informally brief Congressional Dems and AntiTrumpers.

Sarah has always been pollyannish about how devastating the IG report will be. Some of us knew from the get go it was a whitewash. It was kind of obvious when both Magoo and Rosenweasel referred real high crimes(massive treason conspiracies) to the IG for review...

The Inspector General’s Exoneration of Eric Holder

Written by Gun Owners of America

Published: 22 September 2012

The “see no evil, hear no evil” defense

Much of the media has moved quickly to close the books on Attorney General Eric Holder’s role in the Fast and Furious scandal, based on this week’s report from the Justice Department’s Inspector General’s office, headed by Michael E. Horowitz.

But for many others, the 471-page report is nothing more than an effort by an employee to exonerate his boss.

Regarding the so-called “watchdog report,” GOA Executive Larry Pratt told CBN News, “The wolf has reported from the chicken coop that there’s nobody here but us chickens.” (Click here to see the interview in its entirety.)

Some Inspector Generals and special counsels in the past have shown rare courage in challenging superiors who have the capacity to destroy their careers. Sadly, Inspector General Horowitz does not appear to be one of them.

Gun Owners of America has focused, in particular, on the pathetic two-paragraph conclusion concerning Attorney General Eric Holder [on page 453] and have examined its validity — based on the extensive knowledge and participation of Gun Owners of America, as we have helped unearth this scandal.

The Inspector General (IG) exonerated Holder, not based on what the Attorney General knew or should have known … or what he constructively knew … or on what information was provided to him.

Rather, Holder was vindicated based on his ability to misstate facts so effectively there was little to nothing for the IG to “pin on him.”

It did not take long to work thru tens of thousands of emails on Anthony Weiner's laptop in order to exonerate Hildebeest, did it? Why doesn't Trump put an end to these sickening games? The splatter is beginning to stain his suit!

I could swear the IG works for a fellow named Trump, so, instead of Twittering, why isn’t he demanding the report be released, and released untouched?

#4. Re the report “It’ll come out as a 5 page report” instead of a 400 page one.

Well! That’s what fiscal conservatives want - shrinkage in government. (No, not George Castanza’s shrinkage).

400 pages to 5 pages saves a lot of trees and printing expenses. We should be glad of this. /sarc

To solve the problem of pages, they will use a No.1 Font and get all 400 pages on the 5. See, ain’t modern technology great? Another /sarc
