Asians vote for the Rats by a huge majority so it’s hard to be sympathetic.
They do heavily support the Democrats, much like the Jews, another group with a high proportion of overachievers. Fifty years ago, the same elite high schools were heavily Jewish. However, much of this population has moved to the suburbs or out of the region. Interestingly, before World War II, many Anglo-Protestant dominated Ivy League colleges and prep schools imposed quotas on Jewish admissions. The results of that war and the discrediting of racial superiority theories due to the excesses of the Nazis helped to end this discrimination. Seventy years later, quotas have returned, to the detriment of Asian Americans.
