You noticed that too. I guess Trump is just an idiot who made a huge mistake with selecting Sessions. After all these years of Democrats going off on Republican AG’s and hindering DoJ investigations, here comes a straight arrow AG who even recused himself from an investigation. An investigation which has gone nowhere. And Trump wanted to get rid of him, twice? Then he should have. Of course if he did, another AG wouldn’t get through the Senate which is what the Democrats would want, a justice department with Rosenstein heading it up.
I humbly submit to you that once again Trump is setting up the Democrats for a big fall. Once this Mueller investigation ends, preferably before August recess, it will be Trump’s turn at bat, right about the time the Senate goes out. Oh wait, did I hear McConnell say recess is cancelled? Well, that’s a strange coincidence.
But then again, Trump is an idiot and has no clue what he is doing with this investigation, right?
And. Have to remember, Trump has been near religious in his fulfilling of promises he made in the campaign. What was the most oft repeated promise he made? Something about swamping the drains?
Mueller’s investigation isn’t ending anytime soon, at least not this fall. With the mandate he has, he can run this right thru the next presidential campaign, and if Trump is re-elected, it will continue into the next term.
