NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - A sting on the sex-trafficking trade in metro Atlanta netted dozens of arrests and the rescue of dozens of children forced into sexual servitude, the FBI announced this week.
Operation Safe Summer was a collaborative effort between the FBI’s Atlanta field office and 38 law enforcement agencies in six metro counties, assistant Special Agent in Charge Matt Alcoke told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik.
“They are crimes of special concern to the FBI and to law enforcement generally,” Alcoke said. “Because the victims are so vulnerable as children and because the offenders could be from just about any walk of life, from a gang member all the way up to someone who is highly successful and wealthy.”
The sting ended with nearly 160 children rescued, including one as young as 3 years old, and nearly 150 arrests, convictions or sentences, officials said.

A brief review of available info indicates victims are females 15-17 years old.

I agree with the premise. This sort of crime needs to be taken almost as seriously as first degree murder. IMO, if a person is found guilty of participating in such a thing as this they should get life without parole.
We actually need to set up special prisons in which every inmate is serving a life sentence. i.e. protect the rest of the incarcerated from them.
Can’t help but imagine what it would be like for some hood-rat pimp to bring one of his underage prostitutes from the south side of town up to Alpharetta to try and make some money.

"38 law enforcement agencies in six metro counties." 160 was the total. Maybe there were only a handful of sex slaves for some wealthy Muslim in Alpharetta.

Definitely a good thing in my opinion, but this just doesn’t seem to be the big pedo bust some are claiming.
Maybe just deflecting from the usual suspects in the usual neighborhoods by name-dropping more affluent areas?
By “children”, I assume they mean the female equivalent of the male MS-13 immigrant “children”, who get special exemption from immigration law, by claiming to be under 18.
