Maybe the President figures if pot is no longer a federal issue, Sessions will finally do something useful with his time.

For all of Jeff Sessions' many faults, I do appreciate his intellectual soundness on the issue of enforcing marijuana prohibition. "If you don't like the law, change the law."

Hard to argue with this, particularly when he's speaking to congressmen who have the power to de exactly that, as Cory Gardner and Elizabeth Warren are now doing.

I can argue with it if that is one of his main points of focus instead of whacking the Deep State moles.
