"Don’t forget, we PAID for our Medicare over our lifetimes......................."

With all due respect RB, we and our employers did not pay for our Medicare. We paid for Medicare for all those who went before us and we hope that this ponzi scheme will keep going long enough to cover our health services. Like Social Security, there are no individual "lock boxes" just government IOU's.

Does that mean I can stop paying $134 a month for my Medicare payment, which is deducted automatically each month from my retirement check? Or does that mean my costs will go up and my services go down to subsidize other people who don’t pay?

Not enough due respect. Sorry. At age72I paid all these years for other people-—bums, derelicts, immigrant illegals, minorities, and all the old people who paid $4,000 to get my tax money of $250,00 over their long lives.

When the govt. stole and spent the money and I have to repay, it is still the social contract for all Americans to pay and then to be paid (bridges, freeways, water system) even if nots specifically exactly my home and street where it was spent.
