My first thought too.
Why wouldn't the guards at the installation front gate check ID's of those entering, pizza delivery guys or not?
Sounds like somebody was falling down on the base security protocol previously.
ICE should check out all the pizza places in the area now that their owners are publicly admitting that they fear for their own illegal workers.

So an illegal delivering a pizza to a military base needs no ID but so humble taxpayer vets need ID, auto insurance and registration? Terrorists welcomed citizens not. Somebody needs to tighten security.
