Long term, I don't think this is such a good idea . . . but it should be an incentive for Baby Pierre to negotiate a bilateral agreement to remove tariffs between the USA and Canada.

Baby Pierre is being intransigent and gambling that Canada's failure to negotiate will cost Trump big time in the mid terms. Looks like he got bit first with the massive loss of seats for his party in the Ontario provincial elections recently. Ontario accounts for almost 40% of the Canadian electorate and doesn't bode well for Baby Pierre continuting in office.
