Nice piece but, not only does he NOT NEED to understand “us”, if he were to see this piece he would be dismissive and tell you he doesn’t NEED TO READ what we(you in this case)write. I mean after all, who are WE to try to correct him/her/them/they? ;-)

And that is part of their problem that we don’t have. See, we are bombarded each day from many parts of society telling us we are wrong. We are bathed in the water of having to examine and re-examine our premises every single day.
Magazines, newspapers, television shows, movies, news programs, radio programs, professors, web sites, and nearly ever other vocal aspects criticizes us each and every day.
I view that as a gift that they simply don’t have. They are yes men, surrounded by yes men.
Like you, probably I wouldn’t give two hoots about what they do to themselves, if they left it at that. But they have compulsion to control our lives and drag us down with them.
It really, REALLY bothers them that people like ‘us’ won’t go along for that ride willingly.
