Bill Maher Hopes for ‘Crashing Economy’ to Get Rid of Trump — ‘Bring on the Recession’(Full Title)
Friday on HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher admitted he was hoping for the American economy to falter because he said that was the one way to “get rid” of President Donald Trump.
Maher acknowledged the economy was good for now but said he felt like the bottom could “fall out at some point.”
“That’s my question — I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point, and by the way, I’m hoping for it because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy,” Maher said. “So please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people but it’s either root for a recession, or you lose your democracy.”

Maher is safe and sound is his limousine during a Trump Administration, so you are certainly right. However, from the perspective of his own temporal financial well-being, hating Trump is good policy. This guy has made a career out of being a smarmy, leftist entertainer. Further, he has seen the relative improvement in ratings from MSLSD and other outlets that have "gone left" after Trump's election. Indeed, Jimmie Fallon's ratings fell after he got the 2-minute hate after he "played" with Trump on his show. Meanwhile all the other late night losers' ratings rose as they veered anti-Trump. Yes, the ratings bump for many of them have cooled off. That said, the fact of the matter is that as far as entertainment is concerned, going full commie nowadays work$.
Now, I agree that Maher could likely be one of the first to be shot if the opposition Antifa class ever took hold and got REAL power. While I don't like his shtick at all, he is one of the few leftist comedians who speaks negatively about terrorists. That break from liberal dogma could bode poorly for him under a President Kamala Harris regime where vee shall all think de same vey.
If there was a chance half these illegals would vote GOP the Wall would be built in six months.

Not at all. The wealthy and welfare classes don’t depend on the economy the way the working class does. If he loses half his net worth overnight, he is still not going to be inconvenienced by the A/C unit dying in his home on a Sunday morning. To them, the economy is a scoreboard that shows their level of success. To us, it is a job or the rising cost of fuel and is our livelihood.
To your analogy, he would crash a plane that YOU are on to prove that the pilot is bad.
And liberals told the low info voters that Clinton fixed the recession, even though it was basically over before he took office. On the other hand, Clinton was in office when the tech bust started, causing the recession that was reported to begin right after Bush took office. But the liberals blamed Bush for it and the low info voters believed it.

Except the economy was NOT doing well in 2012. The one guy, Litchman, whose “foolproof” predictor failed in 2012, was largely based on this.
Moreover, no economy has seen Trump-—someone willing to buck all trends FOR the US. Even Coolidge and Reagan agreed to legislation that hurt the US economy.
Maher and his ilk won’t survive the Tribulation.
