You are making the assumptions they want to disarm us to stop murders. They do not. Democrats/liberals and their butt licking lackeys in blue with more ribbons than Audie Murphy want to disarm us to make us helpless to resist their removal of our God given rights.

They want to disarm us because a disarmed populace is helpless to resist tyranny, and tyranny for the USA that would make the Soviet Union look like a libertarian paradise is what the Democrats want for the USA.
