I’ve often said that some things are wrong simply because they’re wrong. There’s no other context needed, no moral justification. They’re just wrong. Period.

Murder is wrong. Theft is wrong. Rape is wrong. We all know it. We all sense it without being taught. Call it the divine spark or mere biology, it is common to all humanity. It is that sense, that innate knowledge, that forms the basis of morality. And it is that sense that post-modern liberalism would have us deny.
