My dad was a drinking buddy with CDR Bucher in Yokosuka...I have long felt that we should have dropped bunch of MK84 guided munitions on her in Pusan Harbor to put her to rest.

Decommissioned. Last time the name was used was for the Kitty Hawk class aircraft carrier that finished being scrapped in Brownsville last year.

They’re getting desperate. Word must have leaked that some positive news will come from the summit (most of the negotiations have already been done). If Trump manages to denuclearize NK, and starts turning one of the most repressive regimes on the planet into a civilized country that doesn’t imprison and starve most of its citizens, it will all be for naught and a total failure if we don’t get the USS Pueblo back! My dad was the communications officer at Yokosuka during that time as well...not a good time to be in that job.

He didn’t come home for a few weeks, or so my mom told me.

I think a request, a show of good faith, let us tow out the USS Pueblo. Why not ask?

I was sitting above the runway in Osan, South Korea the night it was taken. If Johnson would have given the order, jets could have tried to recover that ship. The order never came. The next day we started building bunkers with sand bags.
