call me cynical, the Chicoms have used NK against us for decades, now all of the sudden they are all for this.

Is it possible that the Indian economy has grown very large indeed, and it has the Chicoms are worried?

Geopolitics is not static. It's a fluid, ever-shifting set of power dynamics.

What was once in China's best interest, may no longer be so.

Where it may have once been of benefit to have an angry attack dog snarling on your front porch, it may now be of greater benefit to order him to sit and be nice to the neighbor knocking at your door.

Interesting take. Maybe China is just tired of babysitting the NORKs. China has successfully incorporated a semi-capitalist economy while maintaining Mao-style political control. They might be wanting the same for North Korea, especially as it will help get us off of China’s back.

Who knows what deals Trump has waiting between China and the US that might contain this North Korea situation as a blocker.
