U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed a "comprehensive" document on Tuesday following a historic summit in Singapore aimed at the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

There were no immediate details on the contents of the document but Trump said he expected the denuclearization process to start "very, very quickly".

Although the breakthrough made at the summit marks just the start of a diplomatic process, it could bring lasting change to the security landscape of Northeast Asia, just as former U.S. President Richard Nixon visit to Beijing in 1972 led to the transformation of China.

Before signing what Trump described as a "comprehensive letter", Kim said the two leaders had a historic meeting “and decided to leave the past behind. The world will see a major change.”

Trump said he had formed a "very special bond" with Kim and that relationship with North Korea would be very different.

Like you, I place NO stock in the Nobel Peace Prize. But if it will make liberals catatonic, then I would welcome it. Perhaps next year or 2020 would be the better time for it to be awarded to the President, though, given that it’s now quite obvious that the blue wave is going to meet the Red Tsunami 11.06.18.

North Korea doesn't need nukes for the very same reason that Canada doesn't. If anyone were to attack Canada it's plainly understood that the US would respond....very,*very* vigorously. The same goes for NK...China would respond to any attack against them.

Quick, complete, verified elimination of their nukes = huge benefits for everyone in northeast Asia.

And the United states as well.

All Kim has to do is view that man on the video, and realize he's on easy street if he just plays along.

The beauty out of this is both sides win.
