California Man Has Home Raided, Guns Confiscated After Trying to Register Firearm
Washington Free Beacon ^ | June 12, 2018 | Stephen Gutowski

Jeffrey Scott Kirschenmann attempted to register an AR-15 with the California Department of Justice last month but instead found himself in significant legal trouble. The California DOJ accused Kirschenmann of illegally modifying the rifle he attempted to register. Law enforcement officials raided his home in Bakersfield before ultimately confiscating a dozen firearms and a few hundred rounds of ammunition, then charging him with a dozen felonies
.
.
.
The National Rifle Association said Kirschenmann's ordeal is proof that even those who attempt to comply with California's gun laws can still get caught up in them.

"California residents attempting to comply with the Golden State's ever-increasing swamp of firearms laws and regulations should take warning,"

California demonstrates the real reason governments want gun owners to register guns.

This is common here and something that is not talked about or covered in the press. I have a friend who had a felony conviction he was unaware of, spent a week in lock up when he was 17 in the southeast for fighting back in the late 60s early 70s. A couple of years ago he tried to purchase a fireram at a store and during the waiting period these jokers showed up and searched his place and took all his weapons. No charges.

This guy trying to follow the law got more charges than the accomplices of Stephen Paddock

This is SO asinine that words fail. The gun owner gave zero indication of any intent that would have drawn a "guns drawn jack-booted thug" raid. Old-fasioned polite service of a search warrant would almost certainly have been adequate.

The overly militarized police are more of a menace to society than some random gun owner.

Classic “Catch 22” — damned if you don’t register your sporting rifles, damned if you try to.

I left California in 1995, because I refused to participate in the infringement of my right to keep and bear arms by asking the State permission to keep or bear them.

Gun owners who honor the 2ndA should come to Arizona to offset the liberals who have come here because they screwed up their State and now want to do the same to AZ.

Modified how? In what way? Was it a pre-nonsense AR?

Which is WHY they push national gun “registration” .

After all, there’s nothing wrong about “registration” is there?

The same people who don’t know what “shall not be infringed” means also do not know what “natural born citizen” means.

It’s deliberate obtuseness.

The Left means to imprison us, impoverish us, and kill us.

This act of rank tyranny shows what they plan to do to the rest of us.

Plan accordingly.

My registration plan, if the evil, totalitarian thugs in my state get their way, is simple. I just have to make a choice.

- Option 1: Comply with the law like the good little subject our ruling class wants me to be,

- Option 2: Immediately move everything I have that might even potentially be interpreted as problematic, and put it in a storage unit in a different state. Then in a more orderly fashion move myself and my family to a state that respects our God-given natural rights, the Bill of Rights, and the rule of law.

- Option 3: Take all my firearms boating. Again. And this time try to be more careful so I don’t . . .

Creating felons with the stroke of a pen and importing & harboring illegal aliens that kill Americans.

And we are funding both.
