Jeffrey Scott Kirschenmann attempted to register an AR-15 with the California Department of Justice last month but instead found himself in significant legal trouble. The California DOJ accused Kirschenmann of illegally modifying the rifle he attempted to register. Law enforcement officials raided his home in Bakersfield before ultimately confiscating a dozen firearms and a few hundred rounds of ammunition, then charging him with a dozen felonies
.
.
.
The National Rifle Association said Kirschenmann's ordeal is proof that even those who attempt to comply with California's gun laws can still get caught up in them.

"California residents attempting to comply with the Golden State's ever-increasing swamp of firearms laws and regulations should take warning,"

So, they get to inspect the weapon to be “registered”?

CW-II coming if this gov’t behavior spreads.

Smooth move on the part of the state. Crush a citizen who is trying to play nice.

Suddenly every gun owner goes full Hillary, not able to remember if they have any weapons or where they are.

When all else fails . . . vote . . .

Eventually, real Americans will need to vote to defend freedom, one way or the other. I took an Oath on that subject.

Oh yeah, Germany in the 1930s.

With the flood of oppression since Moonbeam reascended the throne, I feel like California conservatives are missing out on all this winning.

This was very stupid of liberals.
“If we outlaw it, will conservatives turn in their guns?”
With horror stories like this, the answer is a resounding, “NO”.
Guy complies to turn stuff in, and you raid his home and come up with criminal charges. You just taught everyone else, never, ever turn it in.

This is SO asinine that words fail. The gun owner gave zero indication of any intent that would have drawn a "guns drawn jack-booted thug" raid. Old-fasioned polite service of a search warrant would almost certainly have been adequate.

He was a soft target. Too bad. Once those attempting confiscate guns start dying, they'll be less enthusiastic about the raids.

“...a few hundred rounds of ammunition...”

He just come back from the range or something? 1000 rounds per gun is the standard prepper bare minimum.

>What does “shall not be infringed” mean?

Well, to be fair, they never get THAT far into the reading of the 2nd; in as much as they never to ‘and subject to the jurisdiction thereof’ of the 14th

*spit*
