Weepy Dennis Rodman Throws Obama under the Bus
National Review ^ | 06/12/2018 | By MAIREAD MCARDLE

Dennis Rodman broke down in tears on television Tuesday morning in Singapore as President Trump held a historic meeting with Rodman’s friend, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The former NBA star, who has been talking to Kim Jong Un’s administration for the last five years, he said, reminisced about Kim’s offer to hold talks with former president Obama when he was in office.

“And this is a true story and I have my people there who heard the conversation,” Rodman told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “He said things like, if they can move the ships back from South Korea, I would do what I have to do to listen.”

Obama, however, ignored Rodman, he said.

“And I tried to do that to Obama. And Obama did not even give me the time of day,” the NBA Hall-of-Famer continued, fighting tears. “I asked him. I said I have something to say from North Korea. He brushed me off. And that didn’t deter me. I still kept going back. … I showed my loyalty and my trust to this country.”

Rodman’s dreams of seeing the beginning of peace talks between the U.S. and North Korea were realized this week when Trump held a historic meeting with the North Korean dictator.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the administration hopes it will be the first stab at reaching a deal that orders the denuclearization of North Korea.

“When I said those damn things, when I went back home, I got so many death threats,” an emotional Rodman remembered. “I got so many death threats. I was sitting there protecting everything.”

He had to “hide out” for 30 days at one point, he said.

“But I kept my head up high, brother,” he told Cuomo. “I knew things were going to change. I knew it. I was the only one. I never had no one to hear me. I never had no one to see me. But I took those bullets, I took all that. Everybody came at me and I am still standing. And today is a great day for everybody.”

Rodman claimed that after he trained North Korean basketball players and made plans for ex-NBA player to come to North Korea, Kim Jong Un said, “Dennis, you know, this is the first time someone ever kept their word to me in this country.”

That gives speed bumps a bum rap. At least they serve a purpose. And, thanks Dennis.

As much as I despise Obama, I have to say Dennis is not who I would trust with Diplomatic Communications.

I thought it was a very poignant interview. Made me really respect Dennis Rodman/ he came across as very human. He did have access to NK/ why not hear him out? Maybe he and DT can share the Nobel PP.

Spot on point. As Trump did, there is a time to listen instead of pass judgment.

To prime Kim for pliability in the next round of negotiations Trump should send Rodman, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen; the Hooters girls, video game execs and a NASCAR race as a cultural delegation to Pyongyang.

Scratch the Hooters Girls.
The Kim dynasty has a habit of kidnapping beautiful women to add to the harem.
Maybe send the Code Pink idiots instead.

After thinking about it I do give Dennis a smidgeon of credit. I wonder if he was debriefed by the CIA in order to get a handle on Kim’s personality, likes and dislikes.

WOW. The hate-America left doesn’t know what to do! Rodman left the plantation and threw away the key, then he turned around and gave it the finger.

bammy got a little of what he deserved.

RE: 47 kids and over 80k a year in child support. I would be weepy too.

Rodman is believed to be the oldest of his father’s 47 children. Not sure if he has 47 kids.

Rodman earned about $30 Million in salary alone. He earned additional millions from endorsements, book sales, appearances fees and more. How did he lose it all?

That was awesome. I thought Fredo was going to cry. As for Rodnan not being a diplomat, he kept saying that himself. He said I’m an athlete a basketball player. I’m only trying to bring some entertainment to this part of the world. It was a lesson in humility that Bobby DeNiro and the rest of the Hollywood elites might learn from.

Fredo looked like Rodman had just asked him if he wanted to go Fishing on Lake Tahoe.
