'Young people are optimistic about the future,' said JJ Kinahan, chief strategist for TD Ameritrade, in a statement on the company's new report. 'On average, survey respondents expect to land a job in their chosen field and be completely financially independent by age 25.'

Reality will come crashing down on Generation Snowflake. Spending too much time on social media and hearing all through their life how special they are.

Given enough inflation we’ll all be millionaires.

Their parents are going to spend their retirement-inheritance bailing them out of trouble.
Most likely 70% of Millennials are going to retire broke.

It’s because the word millennial sounds really similar to millionaire. /s

That is a result of receiving participation trophies for all of their endeavors, regardless of their performance.

I’m already a billionaire. I carry the Zimbabwe bill in my billfold. It wouldn’t by an egg by the time I bought it but that doesn’t diminish the fact that I am a billionaire!

They will blame everyone else when it doesn’t magically happen and demand the government step in to save them.

My experience with millennial’s is that they are more driven than the generation before them but they binge on conspiracies and outright kookery. They also think that everyone except them should have more virtue.

It is inevitable that at some point inflation will come roaring back.

Being a millionaire today is not the accomplishment it was 50 years ago.

If one saves and invests their money it is not that strange to retire as a millionaire now ... much less in 30 years from now.

Apparently we ALL are basically in the same mind set...

Upon seeing the ‘headline’ I was going to comment that before long 1 mill will be about the same as 10 grand was back in the late 60s, early 70s....

That was the goal....hmm 200 per week..a dream worth striving for....
now hardly worth getting out of bed for less than 200 per day

Well, actually anyone can be as long as they work and save.... regardless of the job they hold.. but you have to save from day one and do it consistently
