I talked to someone once (not an activist) who wanted to ban guns. I explained that there is a process called a Constitutional Amendment and explained how that workd. I also explained the gun banners don't have enough Americans to get that Amendment passed and if they tried it another way, the people with guns would stop them.

She understood and realized that guns would simply not be banned no matter what people who want a ban do.
