Over the past three weeks, I’ve sat and observed the whole episode unfolding in my local town (Wiesbaden), so I can make a couple of observations.

First, when the mother of the girl went to the cops and reported her ‘missing’...the cops went to some folders and told the mother that this fourteen year old teenager had not been to school much at all for the past three months. Where was she? Unknown. She left each morning and came home each afternoon.

Second. The Iraqi guy in question...was a drug-dealer (no one argues about that). He’d been caught at least a couple of times while in this status of waiting for the court to render his visa null and void.

Third. The 14-year old had a two-year relationship going on with the brother of the Iraqi guy. No one says the brothers age, but I think he was around 15 years old. Yes, he was Muslim, and she was Jewish (just for the record).

Fourth. The murder appears to have happen when both the teenage girl and the 20-year old Iraqi were drinking booze and popping pills. Some disagreement came up....the girl said she was going to call the cops, and the guy choked her. Based on one or two witnesses who got their part of the story from this guy days later...he didn’t brag on this.

Fifth. The mother couldn’t get the local cops to do much, and hired a lawyer who forced them to ping the last known location of the cellphone...which was within five minutes of the house where the immigrate Iraqi family lived.

Sixth. No body....no real evidence. The cops spent ten days asking questions and never arresting the guy. When they did get serious....he had a passport to leave the country and boarded a plane to Istanbul, and onto northern Iraq.

I can probably list out seventy-odd facts, and each one has a why/how question attached to it. Today, it appears that while they hold the guy (having the Kurdish cops arrest him in Iraq and turned him over to the German cops)....there is no extradition treaty, and the government of Iraq is demanding the return of the guy. Then the Germans can negotiate his return (I know....Germans are laughing over this talk as well). I think the Attorney General of Germany, and the Foreign Minister are in favor of returning him. Both are SPD Party members (left of center).

All of this is leading to a massive public outcry and negativity upon Merkel and the whole coalition government.

Thanks for the reply. I was not aware of all that you told me. Is the short comings of the police because of incompetence or because they were potentially dealing with migrants? Also, you would think the mother would have been told that her daughter was missing school. If the local cops knew I don't understand how the mother did not.

Story is getting strange to me with the info you told me and I can tell it's similar to what happens to any story that goes viral.
