Why is Rosen-stain in charge of our government? We didn’t elect him.

House to Rosenstein: We’ll start investigation AFTER we get the documents we’ve been waiting over a year for. Until then, F’ off.

This guy is totally out of control. It’s bad enough that he’s the de facto head of the DoJ but he thinks he runs the entire government.

“...and now he’s a rouge subordinate!”

“What’s his preferred color?”

I took it as a sly and clever hint at the word Red...as in Russia!

“Rosenstein argued that “as an American citizen charged with the offense of contempt of Congress, he would have the right to defend himself, including requesting production of relevant emails and text messages and calling them as witnesses to demonstrate that their allegations are false,” the DOJ official said.”

He’s full of sh!t. It was a direct threat.

Congress would hold him contempt for his refusal to comply with subpoenas.

What could possibly be a relevant defense contained in Congressional emails and texts? And calling them as witnesses before a Grand Jury?

He was threatening a perjury trap.

Rosenstein is only flailing around aimlessly in vain. Looking for something that can protect him but won’t. This little traitorous SOB’s days are numbered and there are many who want his head on a pike.

"Mr President : Fire this insolent b*****d!"

Rosenweasel is a slippery sucker. We gripe about him almost daily on FR and I think he is responsible for a whole lot of the denials of documents and redactions. But Our President needs very concrete evidence, irrefutable to act upon or the haters will made an accusation of obstruction of justice that might be enough to carry the field. If the House staffers will come forward and testify to his threat and a Federal judge or a grand jury will consider it credible he could likely be charged or at least placed in limbo long enough to access the gold mine of information that has to be on his computers and electronic devices. One of the defense attorneys working the Manafort case worked for him in the past and insisted he always memorializes everything he does. That would be of great help.

Yes, our President has all the authority required to fire him, but prosecuting him for anything would be a much, much better option. It would be a clear justification that he is ineffective in his duties in the present circumstances and allow seizure of all records for examination.

The President needs to act now. He is at a point of maximum political power. He should fire Rosenstein and make Pruitt acting Deputy AG. Or fire Sessions and make Pruitt acting AG. So what if the usual suspects whine. So what if they pass legislation purporting to protect Mueller. Trump can campaign in the fall against any Rep or Senator (those up for election) who vote to override his veto. Please just do it!

It's not necessary for his well-being to continue this.

If he fires R-stein or others then he will be impeached by Dems with some Reps. OTOH if he just ignores idiots like R-Stein then nothing will happen to the Trump agenda. Some folks are obsessed over this stuff, but in the big picture it doesn't matter what R-Stein does or says.

Trump needs to keep on MAGA. R-Stein has no influence in anything that matters.

The President needs to act now. He is at a point of maximum political power.

There's no evidence for that. Trump has been steadily gaining as the economy improves and the economy has a lot more improvement ahead of it. Trump is gaining on foreign policy. Trump is generally making good on his MAGA promises. He is not peaking, but if he takes the advice of the obsessive types, he will risk having a push for impeachment.
