Doctors prescribe drugs that cause the opioid crisis. Doctors prescribe drugs that cause suicide. Doctors kill twice as many with provider acquired infections as are killed by guns ... including suicide.

So we see what the priority of the AMA is: Buy off the media so the media will not put attention on what doctors are doing wrong.

Of course, it isn't all doctors, a majority of whom choose to not belong to the AMA. But it is preciesly the type of doctor who is in the AMA that is guilty of the above.

I’m reminded that that the AMA is more a political association than a medical one.

They don’t really speak for the medical profession.

They’re going to address the STD crisis too, right? Because diseases like HIV, anal cancer, syphilis, and gonorrhea are destroying homosexuals. Not that I don’t mind of course, but the Left is all about protecting one of their protected classes.

Doctors should stick to being doctors. I do not give a damn what they think about guns.

"...AMA, doctors, and guns..."

If questioned by a doctor whether you possess guns and/or if there are guns in the house...don’t give a wisecrack answer.
Just calmly say, ”There are no guns in my home.” and and move to the next topic. Always strive to misinform when gungrabbers ask about guns.

Frustrated, you say...

Doing that which will not solve the problem is a recipe for frustration.

For having successfully attended medical school, they don't seem to be too bright.

Analyzing medical death rate data over an eight-year period, Johns Hopkins patient safety experts have calculated that more than 250,000 deaths per year are due to medical error in the U.S. Their figure, published May 3 in The BMJ, surpasses the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) third leading cause of death — respiratory disease, which kills close to 150,000 people per year...Fast facts:

Shouldn't doctors concentrate on medical errors, since a significant portion of them know absolutely nothing about guns?

They should call gun ownership a disease.

They call everything else that, except sexual perversion...

...the nation’s largest physicians group bowed to unprecedented demands from doctor-members...

Fewer than 17% of U.S. physicians belong to the AMA.

These doctors need to be more concerned about the drugs, procedures they are peddling that kill thousands across the country not to mention the unsanitary conditions in hospitals and doctors’ offices that exacerbate the issue of infection.

IIRC, the AMA only represents a small minority of doctors.

I work in healthcare and they are responsible for the run away healthcare costs in this country. They have always been responsible but with no consequences because they donate to the ‘right’ politicians. This is a good way to deflect attention from their own incompetence, mismanagement, and of course greed.

They must mean”attempt” to cut “gun “ violence. How about some more laws to cut criminal assault violence? Always the law abiding who get the big baruta.
