Inspector general refers five FBI employees for investigation over 'hostile' political messages

The Justice Department inspector general referred five FBI employees for investigation into whether their politically-charged and “hostile” text messages and instant messages violated FBI code, according to the damning inspector general report released Thursday.

The report, titled “A Review of Various Actions by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice in Advance of the 2016 Election,” revealed that the messages “appeared to mix political opinion with discussions about the MYE investigation. MYE, or ‘Midyear Exam,’ was the code word used in the FBI to refer to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

“Some of these text messages and instant messages mixed political commentary with discussions about the Midyear investigation, and raised concerns that political bias may have impacted investigative decisions,” the report read.

The report noted that it was specifically concerned about text messages exchanged between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that “potentially indicated or created the appearance that investigative decisions were impacted by bias or improper considerations.”

President Trump: STEP UP! Fire Sessions. Fire Rosenstein. Fire Wray. Fire Mueller.

*************

He’s not going to do it. He could declassify every related document, but he’s not going to do that either.

Watching Chris Wray lie and dissemble right now.

Arguably FBI/DOJ are Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations; what with stated intent to change the outcome of an election, and Clinton money lining the pockets of certain actors.

I remember Nixon. These guys make Nixon look like a Saint.

There are clear RICO violations, and based on this case, there is no effective statute of limitations.

No, it's not a criminal investigation.

", “five employees” have been referred for investigation into whether the messages violated FBI code. “The FBI will handle these referrals pursuant to the FBI’s disciplinary investigation and adjudication processes, and will impose disciplinary measures as warranted,” the report read."

They broke FBI "codes". In other words, workplace "rules" is the spin. They might be reprimanded or worst case, fired. But nobody is going to jail over this.

Imlike the way you think, although, Knowing the GOP-e, only House Freedom Caucus conservatives would wind up getting hung. The deep state is going all in.

” “No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it,” Strzok responded. “

Based on the other texts about keeping POTUS informed, he’s referring to Barry and Val’s grand plan.

This whole affair makes Watergate look like a parking violation.

“Watergate does not bother me. Does your conscience bother you?” Skynard

Jurisdiction issues. The DOJ can’t assign any US Attorney to any case it wants. Otherwise Obama certainly would have stymied several investigations during his reign.

The jurisdiction where the crime occurred gets that particular AG. There are extrordinary cases where jurisdiction is changed, but it doesn’t happen in secret, and involves a declaration of conflict, etc. It would be public, and take awhile, for each seperate case. You would be declaring, and have to prove, that the entire district, the entire office, could not prosecute the case. No deputy or associate US Attorneys, nobody in that office under the district US Attorney.

The fight would be public, with dems in congress going bonkers. It could not be done in secret. No chance it wouldn’t leak. No chance the proper district US Attorney’s office would not fight tooth and nail, and they would absolutely make sure it was front page news.

Good luck with that.

Seriously, Huber is NOT prosecuting anyone who’s crimes were committed in DC area. It’s complete Q and Sundance bullshit. Sessions isn’t doing anything on that front.

It won’t happen.

McCabe is in some active lawsuits - it may factor in as to why there’s a gap as far as he’s concerned.
