Roseanne Barr says the tweet that got her sitcom Roseanne canceled – the one likening former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett to a Planet of the Apes character – was not only not racist, but was a condemnation of anti-semitism.
“Rod Serling wrote Planet of The Apes,” Barr tweeted tonight. “It was about anti-semitism. That is what my tweet referred to – the anti semitism of the Iran deal. Low IQ ppl can think whatever they want.” (The Twilight Zone creator wrote the script for the 1968 film, an adaptation of Pierre Boulle’s 1963 novel).
In Barr’s original tweet that prompted the firestorm, she wrote: “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.” The tweet was widely interpreted as racist. Barr has not previously mentioned the anti-semitism angle.
Earlier tonight, Barr directed questions to Thomas Muhammad, her 2012 presidential campaign manager and director of a new Malcolm X documentary, but now says she’ll be speaking for herself “soon.”

Also tonight, Barr writes that she has “developed a bit of palsy” in her head and hands due to recent stress, but is now sleeping “without ambien.” She thanks God, bids her followers goodnight and says “we are winning! don’t give up! PEACE is coming!”

Serling wrote the screen play for the 1968 film, based on Boulle's original story.
She ought to just shut up. She’s digging a hole under herself everytime she opens her mouth.
All this angst about what she has said, and hardly any angst at all about a woman using the “C” word addressing another woman.
Nope, Rosanne isn’t perfect. She far more perfect than some others I could mention.
Every Report says that Rosanne was comparing the Lizard Woman to an Ape. Her original Tweet never said that.
Heck, they would have to assume that Rosanne knew that Lizard Woman’s Daddy was a Mulatto Marxist when she Posted her Tweet.
I never knew that about Lizard Woman’s Daddy until after this happened and I think of myself as being pretty informed. I never knew that the Children of Mulatto’s could end up looking like Lizards.
I learn something new every day.
Barr had it right the first time that the unworldly visage of Valerie Jarrett DOES bear a remarkable resemblance to the characters from the POTA movies.

I’ve also thought Roseanne reminded me of Shenade O’Conner, the (Bald) Irish singer who has public meltdowns X number of times every year. So many meltdowns, that most of her family keeps their distance.
It was more than Samantha Bee using the “C” word. She also suggested Ivanka having an Incestuous Sexual Relationship with her Father. That is never mentioned.
Some people’s sole access to the outside world should be a rotary telephone on a landline.

I didn’t like Obama at all, but you just don’t involve the children for stuff like that.
That reveals more about Samantha Bee than I care to know, but now that it’s on the record, she should be taken to task for it.

Most of us harbor such a personality. Most of us can prevent that trouble maker voice from making itself heard at the wrong time. Roseanne often does not edit herself at all.
The same SamB who’s up in arms over those Black kids going to the same “fashionable” Upper East Side private school as her kiddies. Wait until she hears about the plans the NYC MTA has in the works to extend the recently opened 2nd Ave subway through East Harlem and the South Bronx.
I don’t think that Rosanne Bar is racist but I do believe she has poor impulse control and diarrhea of the mouth. I believe her explanation about the Ambien.. I was on it for years. you do not want to be doing anything involving thought because unlike what the makers of the drug said it can cause someone to make a very racist statement because you get tunnel vision of thought while on the drug and might not realize all of the meanings of the statement you are making.
