There is some evidence which suggests this guy made bad choices.

What evidence? Nothing in the article, nothing in a search. The suspect graduated from the university where the victim and his wife both work, but claims he didn’t know either of them. The he says the victim called him to do electrical work even though he doesn’t know anything about it, and he stabs him five times. The victim’s wife and two daughters weren’t home at the time.

I’d sure like to see what evidence you have against the victim.

1) He called a random guy to do electrical work
2) He chose a guy who didn’t know how to do electrical work
3) He let a guy from Tajikistan into his house.
4) He said insulting things about immigrants, to an immigrant.
5) He seems to have owned a pit bull.
6) He worked at the New School for Social Research.

I think these things are all bad choices.

But maybe none of that stuff is true at all. Maybe this is a random crime in the big city and is nothing more than a burglary escalating to a vicious murder. If so, it would be a shame that an innocent man is dead. But such crimes are really not common.

It would certainly not be a legitimate ‘self defense’ case under current law, but I expect the prof hit on the guy.

So you are believing what the murderer says and blaming the victim? That’s your evidence? It doesn’t make any sense, any of it. I hope you are never called to jury duty.

You forgot the 911 call of burglary in progress. The male/female voice and background noise should determine who the liar is.

What are the odds with the attempted rape charge that the perpetrator is a “Russian” Muslim? Something you will not hear on PC NY MSM.

Did the Russians also warn the FBI about this one?

Sources said that before Atadzhanov allegedly broke into Safran’s single-family home in Prospect Park South on Monday night, he confronted Safran’s 18-year-old daughter outside the Stratford Road residence and inquired about renting a room in the house.

Later, Atadzhanov allegedly broke into the home through the back and stabbed Safran in the basement, according to sources.

After the fatal attack, Atadzhanov allegedly hid the knife in his car parked outside and went back into the basement, likely to clean up the crime scene, sources said.

Safran’s wife, Jennifer Hunter, who was also at the home with the couple’s 18-year-old daughter, was warned that a suspicious man was lurking around the home by neighbor Doreen Giuliano, the mother of “Grid Kid” murder suspect John Giuca.

“I was screaming at her, ‘There’s a man in your house! There’s a man in your house!’ She said, ‘You know, it’s strange because my basement lights went out,’” Giuliano recalled.
