Exactly. Adults, especially parents, used to mostly keep their children out of the adult loop so they could grow up without having to understand all details and desires of being an adult. But today they've turned children into 'adults' way too early. I'm glad my parents were my parents. Most of the kids I knew had similar parents.

I felt incredibly angry after having read this.

I know of a church leader who adopted three boys, said leader is “married” to another man. And I know someone who goes to this church, a professing Christian, who thinks this is perfectly fine.

No one pays for a baby in third party reproduction. The egg donor goes through a couple months of elaborate timing, medications, and discomfort. She is compensated. The surrogate goes through months of fertility cycles and then a pregnancy and delivery. She also is compensated. Buying a human is not allowed, so for an example, receiving a donated embryo is a transaction without money, though both sperm and eggs donated deserve compensation commensurate with the trouble gone to.
