Trump is a politician and not an ideologue. He will sign it if it passes the house and if 60 Senators vote for it. I will support him to support it and sign it if that happens.

Any policy towards illegals must - MUST - address the incentives that are set up by that policy. Are you incentivizing more to try their hand at illegal entry or are you incentivizing them to stay home and apply through the legal process?

With 600 million people south of our porous non-existent southern border and untold millions outside the Americas who might also avail themselves of this easy access, there can be only one immigration policy -

Stop giving prizes

for illegal entry.

Any measure that permits those who entered illegally to benefit from that illegal act is amnesty. And any amnesty will bring millions more invaders.

This must be stopped.

This is what it takes:

   1. Secure the border in a transparently verifiable way;

   2. End the anchor-baby interpretation of the 14th Amendment;

   3. Enforce E-Verify without exception and with severe penalties;

   4. End chain migration. Entry per individual qualifications, not family ties;

   5. Deportation upon contact with any law enforcement agency - federal, state, or local;

   6. No government benefits beyond critical emergency care (and that ought to be billed back to the home government);

   7. No "Path to Citizenship" - EVER - for anyone who has entered the US illegally.

Any measure which does not accomplish these things is unacceptable. It is de facto amnesty. And it will inevitably, ineluctably encourage millions and millions more illegal entries.

Send a copy to President Trump, your Senators and Reps right now and whenever you communicate with them. When you get fundraising solicitations, include a copy in your reply. The GOP deserves to lose the House, and I no longer care if they do. The RNC has done NOTHING. They have sit back, let Trump do all the work, and are hoping to gain from it in NOV, when they actively and openly worked against him on most of his successes. They are useless. We have only Primaried Out 4 Republicans so far. A handful more are retiring. We need more removed, and the sooner, the better.
