Police in Arizona thought they were busting an ordinary case of a fraudulent return this week until some digging discovered the same 23-year-old man has perpetrated the scheme at thousands of Walmart stores across the country.

Police in Yuma, Arizona, said they responded to a case of a fraudulent return on Wednesday afternoon in which a person bringing a computer back to Walmart had allegedly removed parts of the computer before putting it back in the box and taking it back to the store.

Upon investigation, the Yuma Police Department found out the same man had pulled the same scheme at a different Walmart earlier in the day.

Thomas Frudaker, 23, was arrested and booked into Yuma County Adult Detention Facility.

See my reply to the article about working age men who are “out of the work force” - I said they probably were engaging in some sort of money-making activities.

Looks like I was right....

If he would have done this here in California, the Police would not have even issued him a Ticket, Hell they wouldn’t even respond to the store for this.

Makes sense, because there’s no way in hell a regular working man can have enough time on his hands to do this.

During my research, I found that you can purchase a Dell computer for about three hundred dollars. It would take literally Tens of Thousands of trips to the store to return the items. Impossible.

Walmart probably has the costs for processing returns involved in the figures as well as the product cost. It ads up fast.

I am confused by this story. Did he buy all the computers and then return them missing parts? Was this just malicious or was he somehow making money off of it? Seems like a lot of details were left out.

My guess, he was selling the parts he took out of the computers.

This kid’s obviously sufficiently industrious that, if he had bent his efforts to it, he could have been a Democrat senator or congressman by now.

He took out the parts the returned the shell, and then sold the parts separately.

I was shopping in a Walmart in Yuma Arizona
Such a fine place to be

There’s a guy in line
With returning on his mind
Going to screw another Walmart and leave

Returns are easy
Returns are easy
Don’t let ripping off another Walmart
Be so easy

Lighten up, I’m working a great scam
Don’t need you to try and understand
Just give me Cash, I’ll be your man
Returns are easy
