Munich ... Mark at the Movies

I had a lovely time on Friday night in Toronto with Canada's Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, who were kind enough to present me with the first George Jonas Freedom Award. And so I thought it might be appropriate to have a (sort of) George Jonas film. Unfortunately it somewhat departed from George's source material - and due, I understand, to a bit of carelessness on his agent's part George never made much money from it. Nevertheless:

A third of a century ago George Jonas wrote a book called Vengeance, about the targeted assassinations of various dodgy Arab figures that took place in Europe in the wake of the Munich massacre. According to Terry Lawson in The Detroit Free Press, Jonas "claimed to be the leader of the assassination squad". Er, no. Jonas claimed to be the former husband of Barbara Amiel, which no doubt is a life of highwire thrills in its own way but not to be compared with whacking terrorist masterminds across the Continent.

Instead of killing the alleged plotters of the '72 Olympic atrocity himself, George Jonas got to know the fellow who did - an off-the-books Mossad freelance called "Avner" - and what followed was a taut, lean account of vengeance:

Compared to the mean, elegant sweep of line that characterizes most modern automatic infantry weapons, the Kalashnikov looks squat and solid.

That could be the opening of an Ian Fleming Bond yarn, maybe A View To A Kill or The Living Daylights.

This weekend lots of people went to the movies. Half went to see Incredibles 2. Of the other half, half of them went to see Incredibles 2 as well. The final half of a half were split between the rest of the movies. So a family oriented cartoon without nudity or swearing, or blood of any kind was what people of all ages and both genders decided to see. It makes you wonder why people say that sex or violence sells. Clearly it did not sell this weekend.

Nothing worse than moral relativism.

The PLO in 1972 were one of the world’s most notorious terror organizations, made famous by Arafart and this massacre of Israeli Olympic athletes. Do you get it? UNARMED Athletes!!
To compare Mossad agents to PLO terrorists is absurd.

Today the PLO wear suits and neckties and are called the Palestinian Authority or “PA”. These thieves and murderers have manages to convince much of the world of their narrative as perma-victim-refugee.

Diplomatically these savages have succeeded in getting us all (not all) to use the terms, “Palestine” as if it was an official state, it is not, at least for now but the truth means nothing.

They also have taken Billions of taxpayer finances since 1993 for the Oslo Accords. Where did all that money go? Not boosting and advancing their society??? No, it bought (and still buys) weapons and terror training. It was also siphoned off to top PLO officials’ pockets.

Israel is supposed to make peace with the PLO, oops, I mean PA but the Palestinians themselves kill each other and the PLO’s rival, HAMAS controls Gaza’s Palestinians. SO...who is Israel supposed to sign an agreement with? Necktie PLO terrorists who want to kill Israel slowly or rag-head HAMAS tunnel diggers who want Israel to die ASAP?

Munich was the unfortunate beginning of the West’s capitulation to terror. That was 1972. By 1976 the UN declared “Zionism = Racism”. It’s been an illusion ever since that many countries still buy into.
