Those efforts have produced only modest job gains so far in two blue-collar sectors that Mr. Trump championed in his run to the White House. But they have injected uncertainty into a host of other growing industries — such as advanced manufacturing, natural gas production and renewable energy generation — that have helped drive American job creation since the Great Recession.

Only the New York Times would praise Obama's lower employment numbers, over Trump's very high employment numbers.

In common circles, this is known as 'lying'.

Hilarious and sickening, isn’t it? “Injected uncertainty”?? What hogwash! Industry is expanding and investing as fast as it can with the tax cuts and repatriation of dollars held overseas. Natural Gas production is doing just fine with private sector innovation in fracking. No federal support was needed. Advanced Manufacturing? I doubt the government has contributed anything to that? Renewable energy — a gigantic scam driven by rent-seekers sucking up federal money.

The authors are unbelievably out of touch with reality. But, it IS the NYT.
