The breaking point I have in mind is not financial. Although all of what you said is likely true.

The military side of this is close to crisis point. The Turkish elections on the 24th will have an impact. If Erdogan does not get a majority on the first balloting, there will be a run off. If that happens he might be defeated. He is like Obozo, he will do anything possible to steal the election. Anything.

Oh I could see another ‘fake’ coup being worked up to convince people to run toward Erdogan once again. The problem for the military is that there are probably a thousand Erdogan ‘moles’ in the Turkish military and any of them could flip some Colonel or General over and have them arrested. So a coup by the military is almost a no-go. It’d have to be some revolution situation where university students riot and the military and cops do little to stop them.
