My first thought was how hypocritical from her. She supports abortion, and that’s “no problem”. Kill the baby, OK, but the pictures of children, oh the tragedy.
Any chance that family has to trash Trump, one of them will speak out.
They are establishment through and through, and the establishment doesn’t like the disruption to their control.
Remember too, that Laura Bush was the one pushing Harriet Miers. What a choice!
I had forgotten Laura’s role in the Harriet Miers insanity:
“My answer is Harriet Miers is going to be confirmed and people will get to see why I put her on the bench,” he said.
On the same program, first lady Laura Bush was asked if she shared her husband’s conviction. “Absolutely. Absolutely,” she said.
“She’s very deliberate and thoughtful and will bring dignity to wherever she goes, but certainly to the Supreme Court. She’ll be really excellent,” Mrs. Bush said.
Asked if she believed some of the criticism reflected possible sexism, she responded: “I think that’s possible.”

Yeah Laura. We didn’t oppose Miers because she was a hack judge and family friend of yours. We did it because conservatives are a bunch of sexist pigs!
