One of the things we've come to learn in recently years about the so-called World's Greatest Deliberative Body is just how exalted they consider themselves above the commoners. It seems that the Lords have instituted all manner of individual prerogative actions like the one Flake is employing to inflate their already substantial egos that the entire Senate is forced to come to one Senator as they are coming now to Flake. You would think the rest would want to stop it, but no, then they wouldn't be able to wield the power and the prestige so the privileges continue unabated.
