I’m with you, all the way. I’m trying to locate to a southern state and leave the northeast behind. But even with that, it is sad to see what this country is now and what it will be in 20 years. In certain ways, Trump is beginning to remind me of Lincoln in what he had to put up with during his election, his coming into Washington and what he has to put up with today.

I feel this country is at an end.

I reside in a Southern state (Tennessee) and have been a resident here for 30 years. I’m astounded at the level of coarseness exhibited by society in general. It isn’t a north or south thing. Not only language, manners, but it also extends to upkeep on their homes, their respect for public property, etc. The thing is that you can’t just “tune” it out. When out in public one sees things printed on t-shirts or exhibited on bumper stickers that would have gotten you arrested a few years back. No way to escape this.

‘Trump is beginning to remind me of Lincoln’

please don’t mention Lincoln; we’ll have our Civil War expert telling us how Abe was ripping crying Confederate children from the arms of their wailing mothers, and tossing them into concentration camps, just because he could...
