“Not that there’s anything wrong with that,” was a line from an episode of Seinfeld. Whenever the main characters were talking
critically about someone gay, they’d add, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.” The characters were bowing to political correctness; didn’t want to seem to be negatively judging the gay person, even though they were. It was funny how nervous they were to say it.
This was at least 20 years ago, when characters could still somewhat show their disdain for homosexuality. I’m sure they couldn’t get away with it now!
