Why is the FBI top heavy with Leftists (Dan Bongino Opinion)
The Dan Bongino Show ^ | 6/19/2018 | Dan Bongino

Posted on 06/20/2018 5:32:43 AM PDT by rlmorel

On Dan Bongino's podcast yesterday (6/19/2018) he discussed a subject that I have been pondering for some time: Why does the FBI seem to be so top heavy with Leftists?

Mueller is a Leftist. Comey, the #1, is a Leftist. McCabe, the #2 is a Leftist. (Priestap I don't know about.) Strzok (Lead agent in both the Hillary Email Scandal and the Russian Collaboration Investigation!!!!) is a Leftist. And so on. I included Mueller for obvious reasons, though not in the FBI when all this went down.

That is a high powered cabal of Leftists...why are there so many? I had always thought that any law enforcement or military arm found in America would be more conservative than leftist, but this is clearly a faulty assumption on my part, at least as it relates to the FBI.

Dan Bongino discusses this in his podcast yesterday, and I found it an interesting analysis. His opinion carried weight with me due to his past experience as a beat cop in the NYPD (in Brooklyn, IIRC) and as an investigator and agent in the Secret Service where he had to interact with everyone from foreign security/police entities (running the Secret Service advance team for Bush and Obama travels) to DHS, all the way down to local police departments. His interaction is broad, so I was interested to hear his take.

He said, in essence (I have to paraphrase, I have no transcript) that he guessed the Secret Service was roughly 90% conservative leaning, and his experience with city police was that he found them to be conservative by large margins, even in precincts with large minority police populations. In his view, police on the street see first hand the havoc and destruction caused by Leftist policies, so they tend to be more conservative.

By contrast, he guessed (and was careful to stress that it was only an unscientific rough estimate in all cases) that the FBI, from his personal interactions with agents at all levels, was around 60% conservative leaning.

I found this to be an interesting observation.

His rationale was that cops and military tend to be more black and white about situations and issues, rather than seeing them as a nuanced spectrum of grays. That makes sense to me, since if I were a cop or military, it seems you would be in situations where a rapid analysis and action is not only necessary, but critical for survival and success. Since the Secret Service generally recruits people in a general role sense (not usually specialists who fill a single or limited role, but someone who could fulfill a variety of roles as needed by a mission or task) the Secret Service looks to applicants from the police and military ranks. As such, they tend to be very conservative.

In contrast, he said the FBI recruits people in a very different way. The FBI is involved with a lot of white collar and technical crime, and so they recruit their agents from a different pool...they actively recruit lawyers and accountants, because those are the type of people needed for their investigations. They have to be comfortable in those waters...corporate environments, computer systems, account ledgers, and such.

I found this to be an interesting topic of conversation because it does bear so heavily on important events of the day, and the future of this republic.

I would be very interested in hearing what other Freepers think of this analysis, particularly those who may have experience in law enforcement at the local, city, state, or federal levels.

The FBI is a government bureaucracy. Enough said.

They also recruit straight out of college, at least for leadership. Very liberal colleges.

the answer is simple.

the democrat strategic powers determined that the FBI leadership was a good place to insert and in effect hide their subversive apparachicks. The ordinary rank and file need not know what happens in the offices at the end of the hall.

I’ve heard the 7th floor mentioned. I can visualize the subversives occupying one wing of 7th floor offices. Out of sight out of mind

Why doesn’t the vetting process weed out these bastards?

Why doesn’t the rank & file tattle on them off the record? They’re not violating oaths if it’s to expose traitors and those that would politicize the Bureau.

Where’s those “great investigative ‘journalists’” of the MSM investigating the politicization?

Oh, wait . . .

We had a neighbor girl who applied for the SS, and one day a very polite FBI agent came to the door as part of her vetting process. We had no reason to think she’d betray her country but she was quite the opinionated feminist and we felt obliged to reveal that (we could see her being a problem)

And no, she didn’t get the job.

The communist playbook says to infiltrate everywhere, starting with media and schools, then government.
They're doing exactly that and as we've seen, the plan is well underway.

The political orientation of employees is driven from the top. The entire federal government has been hollowed out by 8 years of Clinton, and 8 years of Obama. I’m not even sure that GWB care enough to slow it down a bit. In fact, I think he was complicit in continuing it.

Pretty straight forward...Obozo the clown and his minions worked overtime for eight looooong years placing leftist/socialist/muzzies/communist in positions throughout our government. The gift that keeps on giving..year after year after year.

Dan Bongino is a rising star. He has a no-nonsense view that was formed by years of service as an LEO and member of the Secret Service.

Dan is articulate and is able to highlight and inform listeners and viewers in a league with Rush Limbaugh, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, and so many others with the distinction that he brings real experience to the table.

Whenever I have time to listen or read on matters of deep state, I turn to Dan to get me the most amount of clear informed perspective in the shortest time possible.

Dan is absolutely right that the rank and file of law enforcement agencies are conservative because they have witnessed first-hand like Dan has, the devastation caused by Leftist politics.

If the F_I were for Republicans, they’d have to be more efficient & accountable.
Why would they support that???

If you think this is bad, recall what Obama did to our military.

Obama FIRED (forced retired) any and every officer over the rank of Major, who gave any hint of being conservative.

Accountants are conservatives by nature, and I would think that those lawyers who want service in the FBI would be manly, conservative types.

Not petty, childish, lookitmeee, pandering, metrosexual, unpatriotic left wingers

When Obama first got elected I remember the news saying he was appointing his own picks to head the FBI and I thought, ‘why would he do that?’

The entire town is now leftist. It draws leftists to it from around the world. That’s been obvious now for 20 years, at least, probably longer. Conservatives know to stay away.

Look at the colleges the FBI recruits from. Also, look at criteria questionnaire, which is a preamble to the interview. if this Preamble is anything like the questionnaire used for security clearances, it has been dumbed down and keywords have been redacted because they are no longer considered politically correct.

So much for affirmative action and diversity, probably not a singe conservative among their ranks.

The FBI was purged by the Clintons when Bill took office. I was working in DC for the government. We all were shocked to see that GS-14 level FBI agents were being fired by the Clintons and replaced with their own people.

Subsequent Republican administrations did not do likewise, but left all of the Clinton agents in place.

The Bush administrations did not purge beyond the political appointment level.

The DIA used to be very focused on military support and only hired ex-military or retirees. However, after 9/11 they started hiring direct college grads to fill the massive number of vacancies.

This caused a very dramatic change in the focus. Previously, they supported the warfighter. Afterwards, they were trying to write stuff which would appeal to the White House or “E” ring. They were promoted, and only hired people who reflected their worldview, which wasn’t necessarily military focused.

It seems like the F-I are practicing a communist blueprint to shut down our President Trump. And they have 97% of the press on board. I would have never believed I would have a low opinion of the F-I. And how far down the structure does the communist plan go? I’ll bet a long way. They all want promotions.
