Interestingly enough, a foreign national can buy property in Hungary only if that property is in a residential area (city, town, or village). But any property out in the country is off-limits.
I guess Hungary does this to keep its farmland out of foreign hands. And that’s a pretty good idea, if you ask me.
Switzerland too. But you can have representative buy on your behalf. Like anywhere.
