Subtitle :Children 'Dont Need Jail.'
President Donald Trumps executive order ending his administrations policy of separating migrant families is far from a solution to the border crisis, immigration advocates are warning and could lead to immigrant children being locked up in detention centers with their parents for months or years.
The President doesnt get any brownie points for moving from a policy of locking up kids and families separately to locking them up together. Lets be clear that Trump is making a crisis of his own creation worse, said Karen Tumlin, director of legal strategy at the National Immigration Law Center, in a press call on Wednesday.
Trumps order also seeks to modify the terms of the latest settlement on the 1997 Flores case, which prohibits the government from keeping migrant children in detention for more than 20 days

“Lets be clear”
Let’s be clear that the point of this exercise is to open up our borders completely. Following their line of reason, the only legal option is to let absolutely anyone with a child in tow to cross the border without restriction.
Not a White House Policy.
DACA was illegal too, but that’s OK because shut up.
Be careful what you wish for libs.
Well, that didn’t take long!
P.S. And we KNEW it was coming!
Once again old media promotes a nonissue as the top NEW story to deflect attention from the criminals in the FBI and the legal profession. Separating kids from criminal parents has been a daily occurrence for centuries throughout the planet.
Thanks for NOT posting “Rush warned us about this yesterday”
It was Trump who warned us.
I figured out this one on my own for once. President Trump and I are on the exact same wavelength on this ginned-up Democrat ‘crisis.’ ;)
Its immoral to do that ...unless accused of committing a Hate Crime.....or Me-too
Rush called it! The ultimate goal here, using kids as pawns,is the have no border enforcement.
I can believe that that's true but I first heard the warning from Rush so I,at least, will associate that particular warning with Rush's name.
Dont forget, after the parents and kids disappear.
Kids get a decade or so of free school ,meals, etc.
10 years later we are told they must have citizenship because they are victims of the US NOT enforcing immigration law (Dreamers)
There Parents need citizenship too ...cant break up those families
What will the next synthetic crisis be?
RE:”What will the next synthetic crisis be?”
Trump jailing whole families for trying to escape violence.
Somewhere in the universe there is a cosmic being laughing their ass off.
Playing the game, someone can take it to court and get it nullified.
That's the answer. The clock starts ticking as soon as criminal invaders are captured. Give them 20 days, with ready access to a hard-line immigration judge, to prove they have some legitimate "claim" that justifies their criminal entry into our country. If they pass, give them a lie detector test that they must also pass. If they fail either in immigration court or with the lie detector, and about 99.9% should fail, then deport the entire family. No exceptions. If someone is coaching these criminals on what to say to claim asylum or refugee status, that sounds like felony conspiracy. Track them down and prosecute them.
The nice thing is if we stop the inflow of new illegals, that will then give us a chance to cut down the backlog of illegals awaiting their hearings. Take them out in reverse order - last arrival, first hearing. Nominate and assign the most hard-line, rule-of-law immigration judges imaginable. Those who are deported, perhaps 99% plus of illegals, should be fined heavily to cover the costs of enforcement actions. Pretty soon, no illegals will bother coming here, and pretty soon the illegals we have will go back to their real homes without waiting for their hearings.
I have no problem with legal immigration. However, immigration should be limited to a rate approved by Congress and to merit rather than diversity or family relationships. Immigrants should only be approved if their presence would benefit the United States as a whole and working Americans in particular. There should be strict requirements for assimilation and learning the language. But subject to those constraints, I'm okay with legal immigration. Illegals? Nope. Deport them all. No exceptions.
