The old guard Professors hired 1960s radicals in the spirit of academic and intellectual freedom
Once they were established in the academic power structure, the radicals became totalitarian tyrants who only hired like minded radicals and instituted a draconian thought control process that killed academic freedoms of speech and destroyed the long held American academic ideals of intellectual discourse and respect for diversity of opinion
I know a guy I went to college with who was sending pro-gay propaganda to all the computer science department members and students
I replied once that this had nothing to do with computers and should probably not be a discussion in this forum.
30 years later he is now still at that school and head of the department. I needed to do something with my college records that needed his approval for a fundamentally correct situation and he denied it. He’s a major prick.
