As I see it, the bill he proposed is a reasonable one. If by growing a pair, you mean just sit on the status quo, I don’t think it’s a good idea. The status quo is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

The argument really should be, what’s in his bill that is NOT a step in the right direction?

Yes, if SEVERAL state courts UNANIMOUSLY decide that Cruz is eligible, that tells us something. It would be different if there was a split from one state to another, but there isn’t.
