An openly gay Pennsylvania lawmaker has drawn backlash after he “welcomed” Vice President Mike Pence to Philadelphia with a picture of himself flipping the bird.
“Get bent, then get out!” state Rep. Brian Sims, of Philadelphia, wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday ahead of Mr. Pence’s visit to a fundraiser for Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner.
“Vice President Mike Pence, let me be the first person to officially welcome you to the City of Brotherly Love, and to my District in the State House!” Mr. Sims wrote. “To be clear, we’re a City of soaring diversity. We believe in the power of all people to live and to contribute: Black, Brown, Queer, Trans, Atheist, Immigrant, we want you and we’ll respect you.”

I truly couldn’t rule it out. The stridency is what concerns me. There’s already a fringe on the Left that is active in violent behavior. I could easily picture that number increasing if things don’t go well for them in November.
Not sure, but libs often do this kind of public spectacle when they’re looking for their next job. This clown is a politician, maybe it’s getting close to re-election or he’s looking to retire and get some lib job like a non-profit or charity scam. Hollywood actors do this kind of publicity stunt when they’re looking for their next part in a movie, it’s how they compete for jobs—they have to out-liberal each other and the biggest whacko gets the job. It also applies to Democrap congressmen trying to chair a committee or run for president.

Goodness I guess I am getting old, but I do remember a time when something as crude as this would have outraged both sides as unacceptable behavior.
The left is never outraged by what their fellow travelers do, just what we do. So sad and I am so tired of the double standard.
The history of the past few years suggests you reconsider both statements.

Many voters stay with their party despite many things that might drive them away. Democrats are much more locked-in for life than Republicans. They have adopted the idea of classes and groups so solidly that they can’t ever leave — the allegiance is too stout. Additionally if they are truly leftist in their thinking they are revolutionaries at heart and cannot fail to mount the barricades — it is in their self image to such a degree that the more senseless the more devoted.
