Katie Arrington, who ousted incumbent South Carolina Rep. Mark Sanford in a Republican congressional primary this month, was seriously injured in a car accident on Friday -- in a wreck that left one person dead.
In a statement posted to Facebook, her campaign said that she underwent surgery after she was injured when a driver traveling in the wrong direction hit her vehicle. A friend who was also in the car was seriously injured.

This great woman, Katie Arrington is as tough as nails. If she she returns to good health and long life, as I suspect she will, she will be elected to Congress. I will pray day and night for her to our lord, God, almighty.
The dead “wrong way” driver has not yet been identified. I suspect alcohol or drugs and maybe even an illegal alien killer. The police know exactly who the “perp” is by now...but are keeping it quiet and undercover. Something is fishy. We shall soon find out, either way!!!

At some point people might get suspicious of all the doorknob suicides.
I hope she recovers but it appears her 2018 campaigning is over. Who will replace her in November? Will that DS stooge Sanford slid back into the race, special election?

An attack like that (head-on collision at night with headlights on) would take significant coordination, maybe even a tracking device. More than one person would have to be involved. As opposed to running someone down that’s taking their evening stroll on a sidewalk along a city street.

He says Arrington sustained a fracture to her back and several broken ribs. She also has
injuries which required a major surgery to remove a portion of her small intestine and
potion of her colon. The main artery in her legs has a partial collapse and will require
a stint. Mule says additional surgeries will be required, including another one likely on
Saturday. Arrington is expected to be hospitalized for the next two weeks.

On a freeway at night always stay out of the fast lane unless you can see tailights in front of you. Drunk wrong way drivers usually get into the fast lane thinking it is the slow lane.
There’s insufficient evidence to support it in this case, but cars can be hacked as suspected in the Michael Hastings case.
Last night, Katie Arrington and her friend were traveling to
Hilton Head, where Katie was scheduled to receive an award
from a state medical organization this morning. Katie was the
passenger in the car traveling southbound on Highway 17, when
a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction - northbound in the
southbound lanes of Highway 17 - struck the vehicle containing
Katie and her friend.
