That's correct. Only 20% are approved for asylum. In the meantime, they are released into the country awaiting a court hearing that could take more than a year. Many never show up for their court hearing. They disappear into the US becoming part of the illegal alien population. The laws need to be changed.
I attended another luncheon where Sanford spoke before the primaries. He is a slimy, weasel. Despite being a member of the Freedom Caucus, I found his views closer to the GOPe. He expressed his dislike of Trump's trade policies and gave us the CofC perspective, i.e., his paymasters.

This was because, as events turned out, Stalin failed to keep his promise that free elections would be held in Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. Instead, communist governments were established in all those countries, noncommunist political parties were suppressed, and genuinely democratic elections were never held.
I did not think Johnson was that bad although we may disagree over the ultimate solution. He did not demagogue the issue and he was pretty honest about facing the same challenges as the Trump administration. He even said we need to support the Border Patrol.

We never had control of Eastern Europe outside of FantasyLand and the American people would have NEVER stood for an attack on our ally. They were sick of the killing and would not accept the cost of millions more.
You forget the Soviets had just beaten back probably the finest military in the world. Read a history book.
Actually, the odds on a direct hit of someone as politicaly sensitive as arrington on Hwy. 17 which has a huge median strip make the likelyhood of chance almost nil.
Great explanation. Add in places like Calf. that are very close to letting almost anyone vote, even illegals, and you have a huge mess.
