I’m going to beg off a yes or no. I mentioned earlier, maybe in another thread, that history is not my strong suit, so all I know about 1968 urban riots is what I’ve read decades after the fact.
So I can only offer that the question of similarity is a question of how much the sentiment was “whitey is the enemy” (as had been pretended about the Jews) vs how much the sentiment was “I’m damn angry and I need to get it out of my system, and now that think of it, other things I need are some free electronics and booze.”
