Yeah, that’s right. What they are trying to say is, don’t show Little House on the Prairie to kids. Ridiculous.
Had ENOUGH Yet ?
well maybe (and I do not know for sure) they refer to Indians as “savages”, or maybe just “Indians” instead of Native-(hyphenated)-Americans.
My kids sure as H learned them, as well as Mark Twain
This kind of stuff is happening wholesale in lbraries and public schools across America. They want to erase everything good all memory of the good and decent culture we had.
Pa Ingalls was extremely fiercely independent and hard working. AND he was willing to give the Indians a fair shot. He knew some were bad, some were good just like any group. He was probably more fair than many of that day. ( many tribes were extremely violent to the settlers so that fear was justifird). But youd have to actually read the books to know that. There was a black foctor who was a hero, he treated many of the settler families who came down with an epidemic. In another story an Indian helped Pa in an insurrection against the railroad company when some men tried to steal the pay box. Too bad these library ladies cant read or their leftist feminist PC blinders make them incapable of understanding . Bleh
Oh, everyone has to go, really. That’s the plan, of course.
Next up, digging up the Body of Michael Landon and hanging it from a Tall Tree for being a Collaborator.
If Hollywood rebooted Little House on The Prairie, the Ingals will be black, the Olsen family will be a greedy store owner and there would be Transgender, Gay and Cross dressing people on the show, and someone will be a global warming spokesman.
We have to ensure that society survives this current dark age. Someone should start giving out a new LIW award for chidlren’s lit.
Amazing that these stories are really written from the girl’s point of view, and still the left immolates her.
Of course - because it is an intact WASP family (that works)
Yep. Hard core lefties.
Good observation. Thanks
I'd be surprised if Wilder called them "savages".
"Indian" was the accepted term at the time.
Still used today, by native-Americans.
Bureau of Indian Affairs, the American Indian Movement, etc.
Twain wrote positively about every ethnic group, including black people, n-word not withstanding, (Jim was a noble character) but he had no use for Indians.
He called them "savages" all the time.
