We're a democracy now?
Wow. Who knew.....?
Bush famously and magnanimously allowed Helen Thomas to keep her credentials and sit in the front row even though she was clearly partisan and hyper critical of him and his administration. I think it is a very real problem that we have lost a dispassionate and disinterested press. Print media is hyper partisan and TV news is just another entertainment program competing for Nielsen ratings.
Trump has irked the Press Corps enough by opening it up to new media sources. While there is no law requiring a press pool, Trump should expand access not restrict it. They could limit capacity in the room to the current number of seats and to allow admittance by daily lottery to allow some from print, some online, some television and some foreign press - with a public feed and ability to submit questions by text message.
Must be a shortage of rotten tomatoes. I didn’t see any plastered on that jacka$$e’$ face.
“”dictatorships take away press credentials”
In dictatorships, the Press showers the leader with fawning praise. I think we’re a couple of years past that now.
They have no problem when libs attack ours, but this is how the scumbags cover the opposite happening.
I would be so happy if ATL wouldnt force us to watch CNN. I realize that Ted Turner was based there, etc., but seeing this stuff on the video monitors all the time while Im waiting for my flight makes me want to put my hands over my eyes. I wish Delta could put a little pressure on the airport there to at least offer one other monitor with a different option (Fox, obviously) in the waiting areas.
I think those are good ideas. As for Bush, he was a gentleman - and he was kicked in the teeth for being so. And Helen Thomas, however biased her reports were, didnt scream out insults in the press conferences.
The problem now is that the left has totally gone off the rails, and the things that they are saying are things that once upon a time (and even under Obama) would have been reason to call out the security services - except, as we have seen, the security services have been so corrupted that Im not sure even the mildest, wussiest Republican would be safe under them.
Little Jimmy Pee Pee Pants should get down on his knees and thank God every day that our POTUS made Pee Pee Pants a star at CNN. Pee Pee Pants was a nothing and a nobody prior to our great President Trump.

Just an objective, disinterested opinion here (and it more or less lines up with what Rush said the other day), but, somebody is going to die before this is all over. On either side at this point and it is coming. It could precipitate a real honest to goodness civil war that I sense is brewing.
Exactly. Alinsky, we read your damned book!
I hope every time Acosta shows up people make stalk him making so much news he can’t Make any moderate news reports.

Good. CNN foments the hate, let them feel it.
That was hilarious!
I supported closing the WH press room and going straight to the people including answering a few questions on line every day. That meets the intent of freedom of the press because the info gets to the people
Maybe the presidents though Helen was clown troll or that Acosta is a useful idiot and they want them around so the public can see what fools they are.
“We are here to do our jobs and report the news and report on this rally and we’re not going anywhere.”
Since when reports CNN on the news? I thought it was all opinions and editorial stuff.
