"God is on OUR side!" Rep. Maxine Waters, told a cheering crowd in Los Angeles on Saturday. Those who defend Trump, she said, "know what they're doing is wrong" and Waters urged her followers to harass them.
"They're not going to be able to go to a restaurant, they're not going to be able to stop at a gas station, they're not going to be able to shop at a department store," said the Congressional Black Caucus veteran. "The people are going to turn on them, they're going to protest, they're going to absolutely harass them."
"Mr. President," yelled Waters, "we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this!" And the Los Angeles Democrat, who turns 80 in August, knew how future generations would see it. "History will record," she said, "that while he tried to step on all of us we kicked him in his rear and we stepped on him."
In a tweet Monday President Trump called Waters "an extraordinarily low IQ person." Skeptical readers could find some evidence in Salon Five's "Worst of Maxine Waters" video.
Trump is "rapping his arms around Putin," Waters explains, "while Putin is continuing to advance into . . . Korea?" She cries out "Impeach 45!" then claims "I have not called for impeachment," and the self-proclaimed "strong black woman" claims she was once a millennial. These are all reasons, the video explains, why she "gets the Democratic nomination for 2020 and keeps Republicans in office."
In effect, Maxine Waters has become the Democrats' Aunt Esther from "Sanford and Son," yelling "you a heathen Donald Trump!" On the other hand, she's more than a comic figure.
Back in the 1980s the crackpot Christic Institute filed a RICO lawsuit charging that a "secret team" of military and CIA officers had launched the cocaine trade and created the Medellin cartel. None of it was true but Gary Webb adapted it for his 1996 "Dark Alliance" series in the San Jose Mercury News, charging that the CIA was behind the flow of crack cocaine into the inner cities.
Maxine Waters was the fable's most shrill promoter. The California Democrat wrote a foreword to the book version of Dark Alliance and humiliated CIA director John Deutch before a hostile crowd in Los Angeles. When the book proved bogus, Waters showed no regrets and issued no apologies.
Like POTUS 44's beloved Communist Frank Marshall Davis, Waters shows great affection for all-white, all-male Stalinist dictatorships like the one in Cuba. In 1998 she praised the regime and trashed the United States for a request that Cuba extradite cop-killer Joanne Chesimard, also known as Assata Shakur, who earned a spot on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists list.
In 1999, Waters led a delegation of six Congressional Black Caucus members on a fact-finding mission to take a leading role in introducing legislation to change current U.S. policies toward Cuba. She advanced no advocacy for the many black political prisoners in Castro's jails. The next year, when Castro visited Harlem's Riverside Church, Waters joined a throng of American leftists yelling "Viva Fidel!" Castro said he knew would "find my best friends" on that visit.
Down in Cuba, the Assembly to Promote the Civil Society was pushing for democracy in the nation without a free election in half a century. The 2005 HR193 urged the Bush Administration to "to actively oppose any attempts by the Castro regime to repress or punish the organizers and participants." Maxine Waters was one of only 22 House members to vote against the measure. If the regime has ever done anything with which she disagreed, it has failed to emerge.
Chesimard is still in Cuba where the FBI says she "provides anti-U.S.-government speeches, espousing the Black Liberation Army's message of revolution and terrorism." Thanks to POTUS 44, Cuba's Communist regime remains in place and has no plans to hold free elections.
The United States holds free elections but Maxine Waters says the 2016 winner is "not my president." She backs the bogus Russia investigation and leads the charge for impeachment. In her rallies she cites no studies, advances no arguments and conducts no debates. With Rep. Waters, it's all harassment, all the time.
As the president tweeted Monday, "She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!"
The kind of harassment Waters promotes is a prelude to violence. Recall that in June of 2017, Bernie Sanders supporter James Hodgkinson fired 62 shots at Republicans playing baseball, wounding four, including Rep. Steve Scalise. That was before the bogus border crisis and the rhetoric has now escalated.
If even Trump voters are Nazis, as MSNBC's Donny Deutsch contends, clearly any violent action against them is justified. In this climate, Rep. Maxine Waters is a one-women Congressional Brownshirt Caucus, proclaiming Gott mit uns for the cause.
If Paul Ryan was actually a man, she would already be censured.
I suspect most of us on facebook can attest to that.
ALL the Marxine facebook threads, and all the replies to those threads, are authored by my conservative/repub friends. I have *many* libs, even some rabid libs, as "friends", and they are very obviously avoiding any commentary about Marxy and her approach. It's clear to me that they are ashamed and/or embarassed to have her on their side. All the more reason now to lump ALL 'Rats together. They are all birds of a feather.
Love Trump’s hate....
What Happened?
LOL
I picture her saying to Trump...
“Well, ain’t we a pair, Raggedy Man?”
But she’s not as fun as Tina was in the movie.
NoMaxine you, yes you are controlled by Satan. Only Satan uses hatred to advance his agenda.
You really could not have planned this any better as a GOP strategist. To put it mildly, Maxine doesn’t attract voters, just the opposite.
Yeah yeah, you angry low-IQ broad.
That’s Correct!
You Go Girl!
ping
Have Maxine be the face of the Democrat party. Have her be the albatross around their necks for the next four months.
Will it work in gardens to keep rabbits away? ;-)
Sorry, but our side has jobs and have to go to work.
-;)
Free speech does not allow for harrassment, disturbing the peace, threatening behavior or inciting violence.
This is what she is advocating and it should be held accountable.
Morally I agree but the law explicitly calls out protections toward sexuality but not political affiliation.
...a case of the law and morality being different.
Have you seen this one? It’s a doozy...
