Resist too far? Pelosi tries to tamp down progressives' public shaming of Trump officials
Los Angeles Times ^ | 26 June 2028 | Sarah D. Wire

The recent public shaming of Trump administration officials in restaurants has triggered an internal debate among Democrats over how far they should go in confronting the president and his policies.

The boisterous protests against Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Trump advisor Stephen Miller as they dined in different Mexican restaurants, and the ejection of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders by the owner of a Virginia eatery, caused some Democrats to embrace the strategy as an effective way to rally supporters and hold officials responsible.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles), a frequent critic of the administration, gave a high-profile boost to the tactic by saying members of the Trump administration should be repeatedly confronted in their everyday lives.

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they are not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said at a rally in Los Angeles on Saturday.

On MSNBC the next day, she doubled down, saying that Americans are fed up. “The people are going to turn on them, they are going to protest, they are going to absolutely harass them,” she said.

But on Monday, several Democrats warned that such actions could backfire by eliciting sympathy for Trump officials, rallying Republicans to the polls in midterms or leading to similar protests against liberals by Trump supporters.

The entire premise of this article is based on the lie that Trump and his supporters are violent, so the left is simply responding.

The left has been violent throughout, from their tactics at Trump rallies, to Antifa protests, to shootings, through the nonsense this week.

They are on the verge of awakening a sleeping tiger, and they are beginning to feel it now...

I don’t have a twitter account, but look at some twitter people just via links and in their articles &c. I am seeing a LOT of tweets like this the past week or so:

“Didn’t even vote for Trump, but you’d better believe I’m voting for him this time. These people are insane and cannot be elected.”

Maxine Waters has always been a fringe politician, and the fact that she is in the middle now, leading the charge, being exalted by the MSM, just shows how desperate and stupid the Left has become.

I want the left to keep up exactly what they’re doing, so it can be used as a sledge hammer on them in November.

“But on Monday, several Democrats warned that such actions could backfire by eliciting sympathy for Trump officials” Notice it is not that this is wrong and should not be tolerated. Just that this might cost them votes.

Keep it up til November....

Trump numbers Are improving...these are new Trump people..The base numbers never changed much..

From the Duluth rally At least 25 percent of the audience was under the age of 30, and around 40 percent were women. The senior citizen percentage was less than 10 percent — the lowest I’ve ever seen at a Republican event. Other than the hundred or so party leaders, this was a vastly different crowd from the Minnesota Republican Convention that I attended in Duluth three weeks ago. None of the attendees I spoke with in the concession line at the rally were politically active (other than voting) and none were born-and-bred Rep

“They are on the verge of awakening a sleeping giant and filling him (her) with a TERRIBLE resolve”
A thank you to Admiral Isoroku Yammamoto, who didn’t live long enough to see his prediction bear fruit.
Pray that Waters lives a long life, but still NOT long enough for her to see the fruition of her insanity.

If you read about the Nazi political ‘style’ across Europe in the late 20’s and through the 30’s... none of this is new.

The Hitler Youth routinely did this kind of thing and openly brutalized opponents with complete impunity.

Nazi bullying and intimidation was everywhere.... Italy; France; Germany.... In Germany it had a racial spin and Jewish people where targeted... but it was also all opposition, elsewhere on the continent.

Trump needs to make much more of this violence, describing it in all its horrifying detail. No more tweets about old tv shows, low IQs, or how dirty a restaurant is.

Regarding Democrats....”They are on the verge of awakening a sleeping tiger, and they are beginning to feel it now...”..

I need no help from the demodummies “awakening”. I have despised them and their actions, policies and rhetoric for as long as I can remember (Pushing 81 years here), they make it easy to keep remembering.

The liars in the MSM are using the inapt word “shaming” to camouflage the leftists’ use of violence and hatred.

Calling someone a Nazi (when in fact their own tactics are right out of the Nazi playbook) is not “shaming”.

Aggressively confronting and threatening people is not “shaming”.

Doxxing people so that others can perform violent acts against them is not “shaming”.

DUH, seeing the hate filled violence from the Left is extremely bad for Dems as it puts this as the face of the party and frankly it scares people. They are sooo stupid. also hat tip to the media for showing this an supporting it, they only hurt the Dems more...winning.

Rep Waters has introduced African Tribal methods into the American political arena. It was physical violence that allowed tribal leaders to win over those incapable of resistance and become their slaves

Cultural, not racial analysis
